Skills and achievements:

During her Master's degree studies she worked on development of hybrid materials based on natural and synthetic polymers for reconstructive surgery. Her PhD project is focused on exploring optical and mechanical properties of multifunctional nanostructured micro- and submicron particles based on silicon dioxide and calcium carbonate of natural and synthetic origin. Julijana's research interests include application of biomaterials in medicine and dentistry, bioimaging, photoacoustic visualization, spectroscopy and analysis of compounds, unicellular microalgae, nanoparticles, drug delivery systems.
